Bing Maps Augmented Reality

Looks like Bing may be getting ahead of Google maps a bit. They are introducing a street-view type interface with 3D understanding of the surroundings, which enables very smooth transitions. It also incorporates crowd-sourced imagery from flikr.

To me, one of the coolest features is that it works indoors and can incorporate live video for a tele-presense or augmented-reality features. The astronomy feature is another super cool innovation.

I'm not an Apple fanboy, but I love my iPod, and the iPad looks pretty sweet

I'm just not sure about the typing. It looks like it might not be as brilliantly ergonomic as my iPod touch jest because of the size.

Update

Just had to repost this comment from Slashdot:

I'm buying one. I'll snatch one of these puppies up for the sole purpose of donning my Yoko Ono, blind-people shades, holding this thing to my ear, and asking the kids at the Genius Bar why my iPhone for the visually impaired gets such shitty reception.
